Our library

The library at Lynwood Park Public School is a welcoming and an inviting place. It is a vital centre for teaching and learning.

During library lessons, the main aim is to provide the students skills in information, literacy and promotion of enjoyment in reading.

Our library is well-resourced with the latest fiction and non-fiction books, computers and an enquiry terminal to help the students in their quest of learning.

The teaching of library in 2021 will be provided by Mrs Gould (Teacher Librarian).

Library program

Each class has 1 library lesson per week. During this time the students borrow and return books for the week. The library lessons are focussed on library skills, research skills, inquiry learning, literature study in the form of author study, book raps and book trailers and understanding of how the library works.

Borrowing

Borrowing occurs every week as part of the lesson when each student visits the library. Students require a library bag in order to borrow books. Don't forget to bring your library bag along so that you can enjoy borrowing. Happy reading.
