Our preschool
Intended to open Term 4 2026!
Why choose our public preschool?
Our public preschool is a fee-free preschool at Lynwood Park Public School. It’s an easy choice for local families with young children.
We give every child the start in early childhood education. At our preschool, children explore, ask questions and grow in a safe and caring place. Our friendly team helps each child learn and feel good through fun, hands-on play that builds confidence and curiosity.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our preschool. Contact us to talk to our team, book a tour or join our waitlist.
Expressions of interest to enrol at our public preschool are now open!
Families who would like to enrol their child in the preschool can submit a completed Expression of interest to enrol in a NSW public preschool form to our school office. Forms can be completed digitally and emailed to our school email or printed copies of the form are also available from the school office.
An expression of interest is not an offer of enrolment. You will be contacted by the school for next steps following receiving your EOI form.

Attendance
Public preschools enrol children for one year only, the year before they start school.
Children can enrol from the beginning of the school year if they turn 4 years of age before 31 July that year.
How to enrol
Expressions of interest are now open for Lynwood Park Public Preschool for Term 4 2026 or 2027.
Unlike NSW public schools, there are no intake areas for public preschools. Enrolment is on application only. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, enrolments will be prioritised in accordance with the Public Preschool Enrolment Procedure.
Enrolling in a preschool within a school does not guarantee a place at that school for Kindergarten.
Learning in our preschool
Our preschool will be an approved early learning service and operate under the National Quality Framework(opens in new window).
We will provide a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where children feel supported to learn, grow and thrive.
Our child to staff ratio will be 10:1 and every class will be staffed with a university-trained early childhood teacher (ECT) and a trained School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) to ensure the high-quality delivery of early learning education.
Our learning program will offer age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences guided by the Early Years Learning Framework website (opens in new window).
